hasta que el kiwi pierda el horizonte
hasta que el Dios-Hombre saque del mar la Isla del Sur
y canten las ballenas
voy a tocar a rebato
voy a subir el piano a la montaña
para que el viento pase entre sus cuerdas.
Hazme el amor
hasta que la corteza del kowhai se vista de amarillo.

Nueva Zelanda tiembla si pones tus manos en las mías
voy a tocar las teclas en el fin del mundo
voy a tocar cuando me arranquen los dedos
aunque tenga que morir dentro del piano.
